How I used to feel, many years ago:
Watch me fade before your eyes,
blend in with the wall,
my voice a whisper,
to be left behind,
don't notice anything I do,
don't give me any thanks,
just let me fade,
until all I am are the things I do for you.
How I feel now:
You call me amazing as you drift off to sleep,
I wake to your lips on my nose,
Your arms around me,
I smile into your eyes,
And you call me beautiful.

I wrote a song.... multitasking
I woke up this morning and starting planning out a scene for my urban fantasy novel while in the shower (get your minds out of the gutter, it wasn't that kind of scene). Basically, a military team composed of 4 humans, 2 werewolves, and a shapeshifter, are running an obstacle course. The humans are dragging ass while the wolves run ahead and make fun of them. When they stop to rest, Cain, an Irish/American redheaded werewolf, bursts into song to piss off his human teammates. This is the song I started to sing in the shower, continued to sing all morning until I had it organized. I know it doesn't really work without hearing the melody, but image it sung in a jaunty Irish accent (and think Gingerbread man).
Hey boys, here we go,
Lets go for a run,
I swear your wives and I,
Were just having fun,
Maybe we can talk some more,
When you drop the guns.
Hey boys, here we go,
Its time for me to flee,
Time for you to chase this Irish hound,
Up a tree.
Hey boys, here we go,
I'll circle back to town,
Tuck your sisters into bed,
They love it when I'm around.
Hey boys, here we go,
Stop and catch your breath,
While this red-haired Irishman,
Skips away from death.
Hey boys, here we go,
I'll lead you on a chase,
While we run you can think,
About this case,
In a town of dark haired men,
And lots of dark haired girls,
Why are there so many babes,
With red Irish curls?
Hey boys, here we go,
Catch me if you can,
If you do your women will cry,
Cause I'm the ginger-wolf-man.
